FEES AND CHARGES
No one likes hidden costs when they are managing a budget, so I always aim to be fully transparent regarding my fees. Not only does transparency offer the reassurance that there won't be any sneaky surprises added on to the invoice, but it supports the sustainability of our industry. Unless I explicitly state otherwise at the time of booking, my fees are inclusive and there will be no added extras.

My part day fee is £170 for a booking of up to three hours. This is my standard fee whether you book me for 30 minutes or for three hours.
I charge a minimum of £340 for a full day booking that falls between the hours of 9am - 5pm.
Specialist work, such as conference bookings, will incur a minimum fee of £390 per day.
I am occasionally available for evening work; my fee for this is £180.

Unless explicitly agreed at the time of booking, I do not consent for my work to be recorded or used for any reason other than for internal minute taking purposes. When I accept work that I know will be live streamed, or recorded for distribution, I relinquish my rights to the intellectual property and this is reflected in the quote. I take very seriously any breach of my terms in this regard.

There are a number of variables that I take into account when forming quotes, so the above are a standard guide price, subject to change.

All of my fees are inclusive of travel charges and any quote given takes into account my travel time and anticipated preparation time. If I feel an assignment requires a significant amount of travel or preparation time over and above the norm, we can discuss this before the booking is confirmed.

I am often asked to volunteer my time and interpreting skills, and whilst I do occasionally accept work on a pro bono basis, it is usually reserved for community or charity bookings where there is no budget available. My decision to take this work is reliant on other people also giving up their time for free, and not just because access requirements have not been factored in during the planning stage.

Over the years, I have built up a network of trusted colleagues who I am able to recommend for work. Should you need more than one interpreter for an assignment that I have been booked for, I am able to source co-workers at no extra charge. Moreover, if there is an assignment that I am unable to accept, I am happy to recommend a colleague with equivalent experience.

Once the assignment has been completed, I will send you my invoice on the same day, with payment expected within 28 days.
